Do you enjoy ice cream, shave ice, or popsicles? Yeah? We thought so. If you’re near the Seagrove, Seaside, or Santa Rosa Beach areas, be sure to stop by one of these places for a tasty frozen treat. If you’re not nearby, it’s well worth a trip.
30A Pop Stop
“Live. Your. Flavor.” That’s the slogan at 30A Pop Stop. The Pop Stop offers hand-crafted gourmet popsicles made using locally-sourced ingredients. Among a rotating menu of over 70 flavors, you’ll find fruity favorites like strawberry, peach, blackberry, grape monster, tropical canteloupe, Alabama blueberry, and mango sweet pepper. And then there are creamy flavors like salted caramel, strawberry shortcake, peanut butter banana, key lime pie, orange creamsicle, pina colada, and coconut. The people behind these cool delectables hope that you’ll “pop” by. (Seagrove, Florida).
There’s nothing like shave ice and there’s no place quite like Frost Bites, where shave ice is “more like snow” because they use the finest of blades. Mouthwatering flavors include banana cream pie, blueberry cobbler, wedding cake, hawaiian delight, chocolate-covered cherries, tootsie roll pop, banana split, mudslide, mounds, and more. You can also have your shave ice “stuffed” with frozen custard on the bottom, or “make it a piggly wiggly” with frozen custard on the bottom and cream on top. (Seaside, Florida).
Blue Mountain Beach creamery
This mom and pop ice cream shop serves up local flavor with every scoop of homemade ice cream, sorbet, and yogurt. Blue Mountain makes artisanal ice cream, sorbet and hard-pack yogurt on-site daily. It has a signature yogurt that’s made from real yogurt, and not powders or artificial flavors. The creamery says its yogurt is significantly lower in fat and sugar than regular ice cream, and delivers the same satisfaction. If you want a non-dairy, non-fat, treat, their fresh fruit sorbets are another refreshing option. (The creamery reopens for the season on March 1st; Santa Rosa Beach, Florida).
