If you’re into arts and crafts, here are three great places in Grayton Beach, within The Shops of Grayton, where you can participate and spectate.
The Shard Shop
Find your inner artist at the Shard Shop where you can create your own art with glass. This “make-your-own-art boutique” teaches you how to create original glass collage designs using a non-traditional mosaic techique. It’s a great place for a date night, birthday party, or a team builder. The Shard Shop offers classes seven days a week for adults and children ages 6 and up.
A. Saczynski’s Art
Stop by this artist’s studio to enjoy his colorful, exhuberant pieces and watch him in action. Contemporary artist Andy Saczynski’s mixed media assemblage art is what put him “on the map.” This talented artist employs cubism, folk art, street art, and outsider art through his use of media including house paint, found objects, reclaimed woods, recycled musical instruments, and repurposed materials. During his youth, Andy’s artistic point of view was influenced by his parents who were antique collectors. Today, he draws artistic inspiration from Florida’s costal landscape, wildlife, and surfing. In 2016 and 2017, Saczynski was named Hottest Artist by 30A Hot Spot.
The Studio Gallery
The Studio Gallery features artwork, jewelry, and accessories created by established, emerging, and award-winning fine artists. Works include the traditional and the contemporary, from acrylic and oil paintings, to shell art and jewelry. The gallery also sells a variety of home furnishings and accessories.
